Madden 17 top quarterback ratings are out.

The 2016 NFL season is right around the corner, as all 32 NFL franchises across the country are preparing for training camp.

With the return of players in pads also comes the release of the annual Madden NFL video game.

Madden is one of the most popular sports video games franchise around, and the Madden ratings each year are all the craze for the fans and even the players themselves.

Madden NFL 17 has recently released the top 5 quarterback rankings. Aaron Rodgers is Madden‘s number one-rated quarterback with a 96 rating, which is a surprise due to his down season in 2015. Many would have thought that Cam Newton or Tom Brady should have been rated number one, though they came in at tied for #2 with 94 overall ratings.

At number four is Big Ben Roethlisberger with a 93 rating, and this comes as no surprise since Big Ben led the NFL in passing yards per game last season. Rounding out the top five is Russell Wilson, at a 91 rating, who enjoyed a career year last season by throwing for 34 touchdowns and recording a 110.1 passer rating.

The only question you can make with this list is rating the aforementioned Rodgers as the best QB in the NFL. With Jordy Nelson out last year, Rodgers didn’t put up usual numbers as he only had 31 touchdowns and a 92.7 passer rating. Those numbers are down from his 38 touchdowns and 112.2 passer rating in 2014.
