As the NFL continues to develop their domestic abuse policies, one of the league’s brightest new stars is reportedly the center of a new controversy.

The Dallas Cowboys drafted former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Now it appears that one of the brightest young prospects in the league could be at the center of a domestic abuse accusation.

Tiffany Thompson, a woman believed to be the girlfriend of Elliott, posted photos on her Instagram account that she alleges are from being domestically abused. While Elliott was not immediately mentioned in the original posting, Thompson later posted a second set of similar photos, directing the images at Elliott’s Instagram username.

“Just for every women [sic] out there getting abused it’s time to put a stop to it,” Thompson added in the caption of her first photo. “I got told it was called ‘tough love’ I’m sorry if you love someone you don’t touch your loved ones.”

Here are the images posted on Thompson’s account, NFL Tweets’ Twitter account:

Thompson’s account has since been made private, and the images have been removed.

While Elliott was tagged in Thompson’s second post, it is important to note that no direct accusation has been made against the rookie running back at this time.
