Matt Kuchar (8,600): Kuchar is a top-10 machine having posted six straight top-tens in non-Majors after finishing t9 at the RBC Canadian Open last week.  The steady veteran hasn’t fared as well in Majors with a t46 at the U.S. Open and a t46 at The Open.  He did post a career-best t7 at last year’s PGA Championship and has been in the top-25 in four of the last six years.

Zach Johnson (8,400): Johnson defended his Claret Jug with a -1 at Royal Troon which was good enough for a t12.  That result gave him top-20 finishes in four straight events including a t8 at the U.S. Open.  He works around his lack of length off the tee and still does an amazing job to finish high in Major Championships. He missed the cut at last year’s PGA Championship but has three top-ten’s in his career and finished t17 in 2005 when the event was held on this course.

Patrick Reed (8,100): Reed has quietly put together a very nice season with nine top-ten finishes in his 21 events on the PGA Tour.  He opened at The Open Championship with a 66 to be second only to Phil’s near-record  63.  He ended up t12 after a solid 74-71-72.  He has made the cut each of the last two years at the PGA with a t58 and a t30 in his only two trips to the event.
