Identifying the top high salary and value catcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 29 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Evan Gattis, Astros (4,600): Gattis has been on an impressive power surge of late, launching a combined four home runs over his last four games. The 29-year-old slugger is hitting .253 against lefties, compared to just .201 against righties, so his matchup Friday with Detroit Tigers southpaw Matt Boyd (1-2, 4.63 ERA) is a promising one.

Wilson Ramos, Nationals (3,900): Ramos’ .333 batting average ranks third in the majors, trailing only Jose Altuve (.357) and teammate Daniel Murphy (.351). He’s done most of his damage against right-handed pitching (.342, 10 HRs), which makes him a solid play Friday against San Francisco Giants veteran Jeff Samardzija (9-6, 4.22 ERA). Ramos is also 4-for-11 with a pair of home runs in his career against Samardzija.

High Value

Sandy Leon, Red Sox (3,400): As you’re surely aware by now, we’re big fans of Leon. Though he’s cooled off from his torrid pace in June, he still represents great value. Through 29 games this season, he’s hitting .333 against right-handers, and he gets to face a struggling one Friday in veteran Tim Lincecum (2-4, 8.70 ERA).

Brian McCann, Yankees (3,200): McCann stands out as the best value among all catchers on Friday’s slate. Why? Easy, just look at his career production against Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Jake Odorizzi (4-5, 4.10 ERA). McCann is 12-for-23 (.522) with three doubles, one triple, three home runs and 10 RBIs against Odorizzi. That’s dominance, plain and simple.
