College Football: Who won the ACC in 2015?

With the College Football season set to begin in August, a look back on who won the ACC in 2015.

The College Football season is set to kick off at the end of August. Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide will walk in as champions from January 2016, and could be the favorites to win it all again in the 2017 College Football Playoff. Alabama defeated the Clemson Tigers in the National Championship game, 45-40.

Clemson had a remarkable 2015 season. They dominated the ACC and won the Atlantic Division with a perfect 8-0 record. This led to a Conference Championship game, which saw them defeat the North Carolina Tar Heels to win the ACC. A College Football Playoff berth was then solidified for Dabo Swinney’s team, leaving them with at 12-0.

With the Tigers retaining star quarterback Deshaun Watson, they will likely be expected to win the ACC in 2016. Watson may even be a favorite to win the 2016 Heisman Trophy. Florida State can’t be counted out either, especially with running back Dalvin Cook returning. Strong production from him will be needed for a successful

The ACC season will be an intriguing one, as the winner of the conference could make their way into the College Football Playoff once again.
