Yasiel Puig’s time with the Los Angeles Dodgers is coming to an end after his AAA demotion. Here are five Major League clubs that would love to have him.

It is abundantly clear that outfielder Yasiel Puig’s time with the Los Angeles Dodgers have finally come to an end. Though immensely talented, he wore out his welcome in Los Angeles and has been demoted to AAA Oklahoma City after the Dodgers front office was unable to trade him before the non-waiver MLB trade deadline on August 1st.

Frankly, Puig is too talented of a ball player to kick it in AAA for very long, so do expect that the Dodgers are going to trade their former star outfielder via the waiver sometime in the next month before the September 1 call-ups. The Dodgers are poised to make the National League Postseason again in 2016 and want to eliminate the Puig distraction sooner rather than later.

Puig has still been a productive player for the Dodgers this season in limited action. He’s hitting .260/.320/.386 with seven home runs and 34 RBI in 303 plate appearances through 81 games in 2016.

If teams are willing to get past the frequent on/off-field distractions associated with Puig Mania, they’d be getting a strong right-handed bat that can play all three outfield positions with a howitzer of an arm. Here are the five teams that might have interest in negotiating with the Dodgers via the waiver wire for a deal involving Puig this August.
