UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen was born is only 19 years old and is already considered one of the top quarterbacks in college football.

If you want to feel old, realize Rosen was born in 1997.

The true sophomore enters 2016 after a 2015 season in which he threw for 3,669 yards and 20 touchdowns as an 18-year-old. He is not even eligible for the draft until after the 2017 season, but one anonymous Pac-12 coach believes Rosen is destined for a great career in college football and eventually the NFL:

"“The quarterback is the best guy out there, and I mean the best guy in the country right now. That’s what we thought, anyway,” the coach told Athlon Sports. “Man, he is the real deal and we’ve got to deal with him for two more years. He didn’t play like a freshman. I think sometimes he made mistakes trying to do a little too much, but they want him to be aggressive and use his arm because he’s got the confidence and ability to put the ball where he wants it. He’ll learn when to pull it back with time, but there’s no doubt he’s going to be a big-time pro.”"

This is some high praise for Rosen, who still has two years to prove his NFL worth before he can be drafted. Players in his situation often see their draft stocks rise and fall with so much time in the spotlight, but 2017 will be the year he has to prove himself.

The 2016 season will be filled with less stress, allowing Rosen to play freely and put himself in the Heisman discussion.

He will be going up against Deshaun Watson of Clemson and Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma for the right to be called the nation’s top quarterback, and will be doing so as a teenager.
