The Washington Redskins took huge strides last season with their roster and ended up making the NFC East. With a ton of young talent, the Redskins are hopeful they can continue to stay atop the division and even begin to make some noise in the playoffs.

After a stellar free agency that landed the team Josh Norman, the Redskins decided to help out quarterback Kirk Cousins and used their first-round pick on wide receiver Josh Doctson. Unfortunately, Doctson could be out for a little bit in training camp.

According to Around the NFL, Doctson was seen in a walking boot at practice that stems from an Achilles injury that landed him on the PUP list.

While training camp is an important time for a rookie to get reps, it’s good that he’s at practice and can still soak in knowledge from his teammates. With the team hoping they can maximize his output his rookie year, it’s probably best to let him fully heal until he is ready.

Fans in Washington have been excited to see the new connection between their quarterback and receiver. They’ll have to wait a little bit however.
