By now, it’s no secret that there appears to be some bad blood between former Oklahoma City Thunder teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. In a Thursday press conference following the signing of a three-year contract extension, Westbrook told the media he found out about Durant bolting for the Golden State Warriors “the same way y’all did,” noting he had received a text message from Durant.

Now, Durant is speaking out on Westbrook’s decision to remain loyal to Oklahoma City.

In an interview with the Boston Globe, Durant told Gary Washburn he was “happy to see any player in this league do whatever they want to do.”

“As long as [Westbrook] wasn’t pressured to do anything; it felt like he did everything he wanted to do and that’s how I feel about every player in this league,” Durant added. “I don’t have no beef with anybody or no ill will on anybody. So if he did want he wanted to do, that’s great for him.”

When asked whether he would reach out to Westbrook to congratulate him on the extension or to patch their relationship, Durant was adamantly against the idea. “Nah, that’s a touchy subject,” Durant added. “I don’t know man, I’ll see after this is over, once everything dies down. Like I said, at some point we’ll sit down and talk but I don’t know when.”
