Every four years the entire world is fixated on one event in sports, and here in 2016, it has hit that time once again. Although some of the events have already begun, Friday night we will be treated to the Opening Ceremonies of the Summer Olympic Games.

This year the Summer Olympic Games will be taking place in Rio, amid a lot of controversy to say the least. However, all of the issues aside, everyone is hoping that once all of the events start taking place, most of the bad press will be put on the back burner as much as possible.

The Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics are a good way to get everyone into the groove of things. Basically, it’s one of the more astounding shows that you will ever see and we get the chance to be introduced to some of the greatest athletes in the entire world as they make their entrances to represent their respective countries. Many will be tuning in on Friday night, because while not one of the sports, the Opening Ceremonies are something that people look forward to the most when it comes to the Olympics.

Now, some of you may be asking just how you can watch the Opening Ceremonies of the 2016 Olympic Games.

Well, the Opening Ceremonies will be getting kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET and you can watch it live on NBC. You are also able to live stream the event on NBC Live Extra.
