The New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. returned to practice on Saturday, after missing nearly a week with an injury.

Odell Beckham Jr. is by far the best playmaker the New York Giants have on their roster, so it is clear to see why everyone in the organization held their breath last Sunday when he had to be carted off the field. Beckham collided with a teammate before falling to the ground, though the injury was never considered too serious.

On Saturday, he made his triumphant return to practice, joining his teammates for the first time in nearly a week. The star wideout is expected to have another big season for Big Blue in 2016, as the team expects to have Victor Cruz back to flank him on the other side. Cruz has missed most of the past two seasons due to injury.

The NFL tweeted out his return on Saturday.

The Giants spent their second round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft on another wide receiver, selecting Sterling Shepard from Oklahoma. Shepard is an incredible talent, and should give quarterback Eli Manning a third weapon to go to as the team battles for supremacy in the NFC East.

The 2016 season will be the team’s first year without Tom Coughlin as their head coach since 2004, as the team let him walk after the 2015 campaign. Former offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo will be making his head coaching debut in 2016, and will have to find a way to work all these weapons into the offense.

Last season, Beckham caught 95 balls for 1,450 yards, while scoring 13 touchdowns. He has been arguably the best receiver in football since making his debut in 2014, and the Giants will need him at 100 percent if they are to make a serious run this season.
