There’s no denying the fact that the addition of rugby sevens to the 2016 Rio Olympics is a welcomed one as it will bring one of the most physically taxing and exciting events to the big stage. However, it’ll be the women taking the stage in rugby first as Olympics women’s rugby sevens gets underway on Saturday, August 6.

If you thought you were just getting a light dose of Olympics women’s rugby sevens on Day 1, you’re sorely mistaken.
