The emergence of Josh Norman as one of the league’s best corners on the field has allowed him to show us his personality off it. It’s a personality that’s so compelling, in fact, that Norman has decided to take a job in TV — without telling the Washington Redskins.

According to CBS Sports, Norman has accepted a one-year offer from FOX entailing at least 10 appearances as a contributor for the network’s NFL coverage. Norman, who became the highest-paid corner in the NFL this offseason, says he has yet to inform his coaches of his new gig.

“I haven’t told Coach Gruden or Barry yet, but I’ll give them a nice shout out on TV,” Norman told Emily Kaplan of MMQBs. “It’s not at all going to be a distraction. If you keep your focus on you and not anybody else, you’re going to be fine. I’m going to be me on Sunday.”

Even during the NFL’s winter dog days, Norman has managed to make headlines thanks to minor beefs with Giants’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Cardinals corner Patrick Peterson. To his credit, Norman’s responses were fairly drama-free — a trend both he and FOX hope to continue cultivating as Norman gears up for his first season in D.C.

Kaplan also reported that Norman has told his friends that he is aiming for four Emmy awards. Which, sure, why not?

Per the report, Norman’s TV time will include pre-taped segments, shots from his home and FedEx Field, and in-studio pieces during the Redskins’ week-nine bye.

The journey begins for Norman on September 11th, the first week of the regular season, when he will make his first appearance on FOX.

The Redskins take on the Steelers on Monday Night Football the following night.
