United States’ swimmer Lilly King became an instant fan favorite on Sunday when video surfaced of her wagging her finger at Russia’s Yulia Efimova while watching her race behind the scenes after she wagged her finger at the crowd for booing.

Why was everyone booing the Russian swimmer who would later race for the gold medal on Monday evening in the 100m breast stroke? Well, Russia was punished for some Olympians taking illegal performance-enhancing drugs.

King was very open about her displeasure with the fellow Olympian as she came out and said that she wagged her finger at Efimova because she just wasn’t a fan.

On Monday, the two raced in lanes right next to each other and King was the favorite. You could feel the tension, but the American swimmer came out on top with a time of 1:04.93 which happened to be an Olympic record.

As you can imagine, Twitter loved it. Here are some of the best tweets regarding King’s gold medal finish ahead of Efimova.
