Katie Ledecky did just enough to keep her perfect swimming record intact.

As a swimmer who made her Olympic debut at the age of 15, Katie Ledecky has faced a lot of pressure so far. But not only has she lived up to it, she has proven herself worthy of being the female version of Michael Phelps.
Ledecky breezed past the 400 m freestyle, and broke her own World Record in the process, but the competition for the 200 m freestyle was tight enough to put her record of 13 Gold medals in 13 finals in jeopardy. Sarah Sjostrom, in particular, was a competitor to watch since she beat her out in the semifinals, and already captured a medal in the 100 m butterfly.
After Ledecky got off to a slow start, she wound up capturing the Gold medal after narrowly beating out Sjostrom. It was an exciting race throughout, and Twitter got swept up in the moment:

She'd probably get a gold for that too.
At this rate, people are starting to run out of adjectives to describe Ledecky. Even though she didn’t set a world record this time, she improved her record to 14 out of 14 in finals. She has already accomplished so much at the age of 19, and there’s nowhere for her to go but up.
