Here are your Olympic swimming results from August 10th.

On Tuesday night, Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky proved that they are unstoppable in the water. With both adding gold medals to their collection, they had a chance to step up again on Wednesday night. While Phelps wasn’t racing for a medal, Ledecky was leading team USA in the women’s 4×200 relay and she did her best to bring home the gold for the United States.

In that final event on Wednesday night, Australia got into a decent lead, but once Ledecky got into the pool, any chances of Australia went out the window. Her turns were flawless and she quickly outpaced the competition to take the lead and proved why she is the best at freestyle swimming. Australia would take silver while Canada picked up the bronze.

Her time of 1:53 was one of the best splits in the history of the women’s 4×200 relay. As for the other medal events on the night, the women’s 200 meter butterfly was one of the closes races yet, as Spain’s Mireia Belmonte edged out Australia’s Madeline Groves. Japan’s Natsumi Hoshi finished right behind them for the bronze medal. The reviews definitely proved just how close this event really was.

In the men’s 100 meter freestyle, all eyes were on Nathan Adrian, as he looked to defend his gold medal. Adrian gave it a great run at the gold in the pool, but he was just a tad later than Australia’s Kyle Chalmers, who won the gold, and Pieter Timmers of Belgium, who took the silver. Adrian would have to settle for bronze.

The other men’s medal event on the day was the 200 meter breaststroke. Dmitriy Balandin of Kazakhstan would finish in 2:07:46, while the United States’ Josh Prenot finished at 2:07:53. Anton Chupkov of Russia would take the bronze.

In the semifinals for the individual medley 200 meter for the men, Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte would each put on a show and guarantee themselves a spot in the finals for tomorrow’s big race. It will be another chance for Phelps to add a gold medal.
