Simone Biles is one of the top names of all of the 2016 Rio Olympic athletes. Biles has been making major headway in the gymnastic ranks since 2013. She is a three-time world all-around champion (2013–15), three-time world floor champion (2013–15), two-time world balance beam champion (2014, 2015), and a four-time United States national all-around champion (2013–16).
She is was also a member of the gold medal-winning American teams at the 2014 and the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Biles achieved her first Olympic gold medal at this year’s Rio Olympics as a member of the USA’s gymnastic all-around team. Biles has a chance at four more Olympic golds after individually qualifying for the all-around, vault, balance beam, and floor exercise finals.
If Biles is able to achieve all five Olympic golds she could hit GOAT status at the tender age of 19. It doesn’t take these potential gold medals to realize just how talented Biles is. As Biles has been dominating for a while now.
In 2015, Biles already broke Team USA’s “most world medals” record with 14 to Alicia Sacramone’s 10. This is a very astonishing feat as it took Sacramone seven years to reach the record while the 19-year-old broke the record in three.
With Biles only being 19, she’ll probably be back in competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. At the time of those games Biles will still be only 23 and she will be able to add onto a collection of a possible five gold medals if she’s able to capture four more this year in Rio.
