Live stream info for how to watch the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics swimming men’s 1500m freestyle final on Saturday, August 13.

The 2016 Rio Olympics have been incredible for swimming, as the biggest names in the sport have really shined throughout the competition. On Friday, fans witness Katie Ledecky become an absolute legend, as she smashed the world record in the 800m freestyle by almost 11 seconds. On Saturday, the men will battle it out in the 1500m freestyle, which is the longest freestyle of the Olympics.

While the women’s longest swim is the previously mentioned 800m freestyle, the men have to nearly double that on Saturday. During the 2012 London Olympics, China’s Sun Yang dominated the competition, setting a world record with a time of 14:31.02. The silver medalist, Ryan Cochrane of Canada, finished over eight seconds behind Yang.

In 2016, Yang will not be competing in the event, as he failed to qualify out of heat 5. However, Cochrane will get another chance to medal in the event, after qualifying in that same heat. For Cochrane, he has a legitimate shot at taking the gold in Rio.

Oussama Mellouli of Tunisia, who finished third in the 2012 Summer Games in the 1500m, also did not qualify, leaving Cochrane as the only medalist from London in the finals on Saturday.

During the qualifying heats, Italy’s Gregory Paltrinieri clocked the best score, posting a time of 14:44.51. During the 2012 Summer Games, Paltrinieri finished fifth overall in the event, missing a medal by over 11 seconds. He appears ready to take the next step in this event and is a contender for at least a medal in 2016.

Of the top three qualifying times, two of them were owned by Americans, as Connor Jaeger (14:45.74) and Jordan Wilimovsky (14:48.23) will both be in the finals. Jaeger is looking to avenge his sixth-place finish in 2012 and is the United States best chance at a gold medal.
