The Miami Marlins should consider these five replacements for injured slugger Giancarlo Stanton.

Bad luck has struck the Miami Marlins again in 2016. While the team is having its best success on the field in quite some time, the injury bug is biting them. Yet again, slugger Giancarlo Stanton is unable to finish a season and he will miss the rest of the year with a groin injury.

With the Marlins fighting for the final Wild Card spot with the St. Louis Cardinals, the injury could not have come at an absolute worse time for Stanton. The team is in need of some power in the lineup and the rest of their outfield has struggled to produce at the plate. His injury removes yet another offensive key from the lineup.

So now, with the trade deadline having passed except for waiver trades, the Marlins are limited on options. The team for the time being will have to start Ichiro Suzuki, who probably wasn’t expecting to play as much at his age. However, there are some options available to them that they can explore.

The tires are already being kicked on Alex Rodriguez, which would be a big name for the team. There are also other big names available and players the team could take a chance on. These are five players the Marlins should consider as a replacement for Giancarlo Stanton.
