Live stream info and how to watch the Olympics women’s water polo semifinals on Wednesday, August 17 from Rio 2016 online

The 2016 Rio Olympics women’s water polo competition has waged on for 11 days now and it’s almost time for the gold medal match. However, there’s still two more matches that have to be played, the semifinals, to see who will be there competing for the top prize. Those two semifinals and the 5-8 classification matches are going to take place on Wednesday, August 17.

Starting with the 5-8 classification matches as teams try to find a way to salvage some pride. The first match of the day will start at 10 a.m. ET as Australia and the host nation of Brazil will be facing off. Brazil would love to get a win on their home, uh, water to move on to the fifth-place match. The second match in this bracket will be Spain vs China at 2:10 p.m. ET with both teams also looking for some sort of pride and a shot at fifth.

Now moving to the semifinal matchups, the first will take place at 11:20 a.m. ET between Russia and Italy. Both of these teams started off in Group A, but Italy looked far better as they went 3-0 in group play as Russia went just 1-2. However, Russia advanced to this stage, so anything can happen.

Wednesday night’s finale will feature Team USA vs Hungary in a huge matchup. The United States is still undefeated in this competition at Rio and already has a win over Hungary from Group B under their belt. Now the question will be if they can continue their run or if there’s a huge upset brewing in Rio.
