It is fair to say that Steven Adams is probably the best interview in the NBA at this point of 2016. Thanks to his wit, carefree attitude and willingness to have fun, Adams delivers a ton of laughs every time he steps in front of a microphone. On Tuesday he talked with a news station back in his home country of New Zealand and yet again Adams delivered.

The entire interview is amazing and well worth the two minutes it takes to watch it.

More from NBA

Adams starts by saying he is happy for his sister for winning the silver medal in the shot put in Rio, before  moving into some really Steven Adams things. (Related: For those wondering he thinks it is “awesome” that people are still thinking about his nuts after the playoffs.)

Perhaps the best part of the interview though, is Adams relaying the reason that he grew out his hair and mustache this season.

"Honestly, it was a budget thing. It was like 60 bucks to get haircuts and it bummed me out. Straight up I was like, what the hell? And that was every month. So I was like that is so much money. So then I just stopped getting haircuts and stuff and it saved me a bunch of money. And now this is a thing. So I was like, cool."

The entire explanation is just so Steven Adams and it is wonderful. The only question that remains is if cost was such a big thing to Adams why not go to a random local barber. I get a haircut in New Jersey for $20 including a tip. I’m sure that Adams could find a shop like that in Oklahoma City if he really wanted.

On the other hand that would have robbed us of another great Steven Adams quote so I am glad he didn’t.
