Drake proudly wore a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey during a concert in Pittsburgh.

It’s a good time to be a Pittsburgh Penguins fan. Not only did they win the Stanley Cup, they are also in the running for popular free agent forward Jimmy Vesey. Drake seems to think it’s a good time to be a Penguins fan, too. He was recently spotted wearing and performing in a Penguins jersey during a concert in Pittsburgh.

He makes the Penguins jersey look good. Has the rapper decided to join another bandwagon by cheering for the Penguins? The infamous University of Kentucky and Toronto Raptors fan is a huge fan of jerseys, often sporting the apparel of a variety of teams.

If he’s jumping on a bandwagon, the Penguins’ is about as good as any. They have four of the best players in the world in Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel and Kris Letang. Each of them are under contract long-term. They also have a variety of exciting young players, including Stanley Cup playoffs hero, goaltender Matt Murray. With four Stanley Cups, it’s hard to blame the rapper if he’s joining their bandwagon.

After the concert, Drake received an autographed Mario Lemieux jersey.

Mario Lemieux could have been the greatest player who ever lived had he stayed healthy. Despite missing games due to injury on a fairly consistent basis, Lemieux won six Art Ross Trophies and three Hart Memorial Trophies. He also won the Ted Lindsay Award (formerly Lester B. Pearson Award) as the player’s choice for best player four times. Lemieux ranks 10th all-time in goals, 11th all-time in assists, and eighth all-time in points. His 1.88 points per game during his career trail only Wayne Gretzky.

The Canadian rapper is allegedly a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He has sent out tweets in the past supporting them. But maybe he’s ready to start rooting for a winner.
