College football should have several new faces rise to national prominence in 2016. Here are 25 players that are poised for breakout seasons in 2016.

The 2016 college football season is right around the corner for fans of Division I college football. The first weekend of games will occur on Labor Day Weekend with many exciting, neutral-site games in the non-conference.

Entering Week 1, technically every Power 5 has a shot at making the College Football Playoff, but really only 25 or so programs have a navigable path to either of the National Semifinal Games at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia or the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.

For many of these teams to get to the College Football Playoff, they will need key players to rise to national prominence in 2016. Inside of the respective programs and even within their conference, these crucial players have developed a formidable reputation over the last couple of years.

However, for their team to ascend to greatness in 2016, these 25 players will have to emerge as national figures in the college football landscape this fall. Here are the 25 players in Division I football that are the most poised to have breakout 2016 NCAA seasons.
