Fantasy Football 2016 Preview: Arizona Cardinals wide receivers
John Brown
John Brown emerged as a nice receiving option for Cason Palmer last year as well. He piled up over 1,000 yards in just his second year in the NFL and found the end zone seven times. Brown got a deserved reputation as one of the best deep threats in the league and had plenty of fantasy upside every week due to his home run potential.
This preseason, Brown has been stuck in the NFL’s concussion protocol. He hasn’t bee able t suit up for practice or either of the Cardinals preseason contests. Brown is still expected to be ready for Week 1, but he’ll need to get back into the flow of the offense which could result in a bit of a slow start.
Brown is going just a few picks after the other two Cardinals receivers as the 32nd receiver off the board. I’d have him just inside my top 35, so his ADP seems about equal to his value. I would be a little hesitant to start him until he shows he’s completely over his concussion, but he always is a good bye-week option since you never know when he and Palmer will dial up a long score. If you’re league gives out bonuses for longer touchdowns, bump Brown up a few slots
