19. TD Garden

Had the old Boston Garden still been the home of the NBA’s Boston Celtics and the NHL’s Boston Bruins, it would have easily cracked the top five of this list.

The place had several generations worth of rich sports tradition and was located in one the oldest metropolises in the U.S. — the perfect breeding ground for loyal Bostonian ghosts.

Though the Bruins have won their fair share of Stanley Cups, the Celtics are the most decorated NBA franchise ever with 17 NBA Championships. Boston loves its sports teams, and its fans love to heckle the opposition.

TD Garden makes the list because it is still likely to harbor a few of the old ghosts that found their to the old Boston Garden. And even at TD Garden, both the Bruins and the Celtics have won championships. The Bruins won the 2011 Stanley Cup and the Celtics won the 2008 NBA Finals. Winning is part of Boston sports culture, and no doubt late Bostonians make the trek to the Garden to see their teams play on cold winter nights.
