Not everybody is going to have as good of a year as last season. Here are 10 teams in college football that won’t be as good as they were in 2015.

For every college football team that builds on the year before, there will be another that takes a step or two backwards. Declining from one season to another in college football can happen for several different reasons: an elite player goes on to the NFL, changes to the coaching staff, rough slate of games, or even failing to live up to the hype.

Sometimes, these letdown seasons are inevitable and even the most passionate of fan bases can come to terms with tough circumstances. In other instances, there are some teams that won’t see a decline coming until it is far too late.

That’s just part of the difficulty of staying on top. It’s much easier for programs to go from good to bad than to have ultimate staying power at the pinnacle of a league’s hierarchy. The only constant we know in college football is that the landscape will be forever changing. Nobody is elite forever.

Not every team on this list is destined to have a terrible year. Some will actually do very well on the gridiron. One thing is certain about these 10 college football teams: they are more likely to have a worse 2016 than they had in 2015. Here are the 10 teams poised for a regression on the field this fall.
