Everton face Stoke at Goodison Park on Saturday, August 27. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Everton look to build a winning streak when they host Stoke Saturday. The Toffees opened the season drawing with Tottenham before coming from behind to defeat West Bromwich Albion last week. Four points from two matches is a good return, but Koeman has continued to push his side, publicly backing striker Romelu Lukaku to end a drought of ten games without a goal or assist now that the striker’s status at Goodison Park seems to have been settled. Koeman has also called on Kevin Mirallas and Gerard Deulofeu to run and press more. The Dutch manager is very clear on where the buck stops with the Merseyside club. “[The players] need to change,” Koeman said. “I don’t change.” One change that won’t be coming is in net: despite weeks of rumors regarding out-of-favor Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart coming in on loan, Koeman says the club have no interest in making a move and will move forward with Maarten Stekelenburg. New man Yannick Bolasie, who looked seamless pairing with Lukaku in his Toffee debut last week, could earn his first start with the club.

Stoke are still in search of their first win after drawing with Middlesbrough and losing their home opener to Manchester City. The injury bug continues to hamper the Potters, as Jack Butland and Glen Johnson will be out of action versus Everton. Meanwhile, Glenn Whelan will play his 250th top-flight match for Stoke Saturday, a milestone the Irishman may be building on longer than some expected. Some expected summer transfer Joe Allen to supplant Whelan, but so far the two have formed a complementary pairing, with Whelan’s defensive solidity allowing Allen the freedom to run wild and pressure opponents all over the pitch. Last year Stoke won a woolly 4-3 affair at Goodison Park. Manager Mark Hughes hopes for three points without the drama this time around; ultimately, however the points can be gained, Stoke would accept them, no questions asked.

The Premier League match between Everton and Stoke will be available live only on NBC Sports, which you can access through your cable or satellite subscriptions, either online or through the NBC Sports App.

This will be a big test for a Stoke side that has struggled in the early going. If Hughes is to secure his team’s third top half finish in as many seasons, performances will have to pick up soon.
