There will be a battle for the preseason king of MetLife Stadium going down on Saturday in Week 3 of the NFL preseason. With two teams that seem to have a high-variance in regards to possible outcomes for 2016, the New York Jets and New York Giants will square off. Even with it not yet being the regular season, you can expect tensions to be high coming into this matchup on Saturday evening.
Despite a season of indecision it seemed, the Jets now are returning most of what made them successful last season. With Ryan Fitzpatrick locked up after a long saga this offseason, the passing game with Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall is expected to be back rolling. Moreover, Todd Bowles will certainly have that bearish defense ready to go again. But then again, this is the Jets and they always give the air that anything can fall apart at any given moment.
Across the field on the other sideline, the Giants are still adjusting to the styling of Ben McAdoo. The new head coach for the Giants has his work cut out for him in regards to the overall team. While Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. should lead the way to a productive offense, there are other concerns. McAdoo’s chief concern right now remains making this defense some type of competent before the regular season begins.
