New York wins Little League World Series: Twitter reacts
New York won the Little League World Series on Sunday and Twitter loved it
Endwell, New York has, well, ended the Little League World Series championship drought that had existed for the past four years. The Maine-Endwell Little League of Maine-Endwell, New York defeated East Seoul Little League of Seoul, South Korea. The victory was a first for the United States since 2011, and the first for a team from New York since 1964.
The Endwell, New York team finished capped off their perfect 24-0 season with the ultimate Little League prize, a World Series championship. The final pitch was a swinging strike in a very tight 2-1 game that could have could have blown wide open as South Korea left two men aboard the bases.
South Korea won the Little League World Series in 2014, which was sandwiched between wins from Tokyo, Japan in 2012, 2013, and 2015.

After a few close calls, such as a two two-run games against Tennessee, Endwell, New York finally brought home the bacon. The perfect end to a perfect season. This will be a day these young men remember for the rest of their lives, as they should.
The sheer joy of the coaches, and more importantly, the players is why we love watching sports in the first place. Take away all of the politics of sport and just let the boys play.
