Virgil Green-TE-Denver Broncos

The Broncos have had an on-going QB competition throughout their camp, but after Preseason Week 3 its clear that Denver is ready to roll with Trevor Siemian under center in Week 1.  Siemian and Green seem to have a good connection after working together on the second-team last year.

Green has also excelled with whoever his QB has been this preseason and has hauled in all eight passes thrown his way.  He has totaled 97 yards on those eight catches and found the end zone for the first time this Preseason in Week 3.

Look for Green to be a fringe TE1 early on in the season with true breakout potential.  If you can grab him as your second tight end at the end of your draft or get stuck taking your starter late, it’s time to go Green since he’s still going undrafted in pretty much every format at this point.  Fantrax is the only ADP source that he is even showing up on, and they have him going as the 33rd TE taken.  He’s definitely worth a pick way before that.

I wouldn’t take him over more proven options, but if the other options are gone, Green has the most upside of the leftovers at the end of drafts.
