Teddy Bridgewater went down on Tuesday with an apparent serious injury and the internet was all over it

One of the teams that everyone was ready to keep an eye on this NFL season is the Minnesota Vikings, and that’s of course because they are in possession of one of the best young quarterbacks in the league in Teddy Bridgewater. After leading the Vikings to the playoffs last season, it looked as if he was ready to take the next step with this team towards the Super Bowl.

Well, those hopes and dreams may have taken a pretty serious hit on Tuesday, as Vikings practice was stopped abruptly because the young star went down with what appeared to be a pretty serious leg injury. Players and coaches reportedly looked very concerned, and it doesn’t look like good news for the Vikings.

It’s always heartbreaking to see a young star with the potential of Bridgewater potentially have his 2016 season cut short like this, especially since he’s one of the most liked stars in the NFL as well.

So of course, after Bridgewater went down, the internet was set ablaze with some reactions.

Just really devastating news out of Vikings camp on Tuesday and you really do hope that Teddy B can somehow be alright and not miss a lot of time. But from the looks of the reports that are coming out, it doesn’t look as if the Vikings will be getting some good news regarding the status of their starting quarterback.

Sure, the Vikings still have maybe the best running back in the league in Adrian Peterson, but we saw time and time again last season just how valuable Bridgewater is to this team when it comes down to it. Without him, it’s going to be a struggle to get back to the playoffs for Mike Zimmer and crew.

Again, hopefully the injury isn’t as serious as it looks.
