16. Buffalo Bills

Florida State. Roderick Johnson . 16. player. 16.
Things haven’t started out as hoped for the Buffalo Bills’ top draft choices in 2016. Both Shaq Lawson and Reggie Ragland are dealing with troublesome injuries. If they persist this may force the team to go that direction again next year, but in this scenario they instead focus on improving their offensive line.

Tyrod Taylor looks like their guy moving forward at quarterback, so he’s going to need better protection. Cordy Glenn is their fixture on the left side, but it’s hard to imagine Jordan Mills as a long-term option on the right.

Roderick Johnson would be a massive upgrade over him. From the moment he took over at left tackle for Florida State, their offense took off. Jameis Winston became the eventual No. 1 overall pick and Dalvin Cook torched defenses last year.

He’s gone plenty of size and power for the run game, which will fit the Bills attack well. Even so it’s important not to short change him in pass protection. He has enough mobility to handle the edge against speed rushers. The trick will be speeding up his feet since they tend to lag from time to time.
. OT
