College GameDay returned for the first time in 2016, and so did Lee Corso’s always-entertaining headgear pick.

On Saturday morning, the popular ESPN show, College GameDay returned for the college football season. This features on-air talents like Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Lee Corso. They were featured from Lambeau Field for the No. 5 LSU Tigers vs. Wisconsin Badgers game, which takes place on Saturday afternoon.

Part of the GameDay tradition has been Corso’s headgear pick. It’s usually the last part of the show, going on around 11:59 a.m. ET. The 81-year-old has done this for his 20-plus years on the program, and seemingly makes it better every year. It’s wacky and bizarre, but comical and always something worth tuning in for.

So, on Saturday, Corso had to choose between Wisconsin, which would mean wearing a badger head, and LSU, a tiger head. Who would he pick?

After guest picker Aaron Rodgers picked Wisconsin, Corso went the opposite way and chose LSU. He put on the tiger head and ate some cheese with it.

Corso’s pick of the Tigers will attempt to make up for a bad 2015 season of selections. His record through the end of November had been 3-10, and his first losing season since 2002. He finished 6-12.

However, the record shouldn’t matter, as Corso’s antics make up for anything potential off-the-wall picks.

As for Corso’s pick of LSU, they won’t be stepping into Wisconsin’s home turf, but they are going to Lambeau Field, one of the most famous football stadiums. The Green Bay Packers have played there since the venue opened in 1957. Wisconsin should get the home field advantage from this, since they’re staying in-state, but can they hold back this consistent SEC powerhouse? Will they give Corso a 1-0 record to start the 2016 season?

Next Saturday, Lee Corso will have to pick between Tennessee and Virginia Tech from the Bristol Motor Speedway.
