The Michigan Wolverines band created an Air Jordan logo during halftime.

As Michigan looks to take the next step under Jim Harbaugh, they will do so with the help of a GOAT. When Michigan unveiled their new Jordan brand uniforms, it was cause for excitement. Not only are the outfits themselves incredible, it also showcased the school’s excellent branding – when was there a day during the offseason where they weren’t in the news?

During halftime of Michigan’s opener against Hawaii, where they were leading 35-0, they added to their Jordan brand. The band came marching out, and formed an Air Jordan logo next to a big M:

Thanks to the Internet, Michael Jordan has recently become associated with crying, but Michigan is hoping their performance can associate it with success again. With the confidence they had all offseason long, Hawaii lost before they even stepped onto the field.

But while Michigan was crushing Hawaii, Ohio State was doing the same thing to Bowling Green not too far away. Michigan has taken some tremendous strides under Harbaugh, but Urban Meyer has built a well-oiled machine. Despite the incredible roster turnover in Columbus, they are still the class of the Big Ten. However, that could change if Michigan beats them in their building.

All of this praise that Michigan has heaped on Jordan may make Harbaugh worried he’s no longer their idol. But they made sure to include their coach while unveiling their uniforms by making “Jordan brand” khakis.

With Jordan on their side, perhaps this is the extra boost Michigan needs in the second year of their rebuilding effort under coach Harbaugh.

It would be nice if some of his success rubbed off on the Michigan man, right?
