Jalen Hurts led the Alabama Crimson Tide to a dominant victory over the USC Trojans.

For about one quarter on Saturday night, the USC Trojans were competitive. Then the wheels came off and a legend was born. Coming into the night, Blake Barnett was the starting quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide. While Barnett struggled, the Crimson Tide made the right move.

The Tide turned to Jalen Hurts, who coincidentally fumbled on his first snap. That was his only bad play of the night. He found ArDarius Stewart in the end zone for a bomb and Alabama finally had the lead on the night. After a field goal, it felt like Alabama was about to run away with it.

USC apparently knew it too and began to lose their composure. Jabari Ruffin would stomp on Minkah Fitzpatrick and would be ejected from the game. Alabama would then score and take a two-touchdown lead.

As if things couldn’t get worse, Hurts continued to run and throw for touchdowns. By the end of the third quarter, the game was a blowout and Hurts got to rest for the rest of the game. Barnett came back in and threw a touchdown of his own. The Trojans were reeling and Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was soaking in the revenge.

The Crimson Tide would finish with a huge blowout win to begin the season, while USC head coach Clay Helton scratched his head. The legend that is Hurts has been born and he might be the next big thing in college football.
