Whataburger trolled Notre Dame on Twitter after the Texas Longhorns upset the Fighting Irish.
Texas is known as the home of the Texas Longhorns. It is also known as being the birthplace of Whataburger, one of the most popular burger chains in the United States. The restaurants Twitter account thrives on jokes and puns and after the Notre Dame Fighting Irish lost to the Longhorns, the burger chain trolled Note Dame on Twitter.
That is an undeniable win. The burger chain is well known for its huge burgers and buns. No matter how you like your burger, you can get what you want at the burger chain. Their most famous burger is the namesake of their restaurant. It features a five inch bun. They also offer burgers with bacon and cheese and with jalapenos.
A self-aware Twitter account is a great way to get folks in the door and paying for some of those enormous burgers. At the very least, they will have endeared themselves to the Longhorn’s faithful.

Texas beat Notre Dame behind their two sensational quarterbacks. The saying usually goes “if you have two starting quarterbacks, you have zero”. However, Texas did a remarkable job of getting both Shane Buechele and Tyrone Swoopes involved on offense. Buechele threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns while running for another touchdown. Swoopes used his mobility to rush for 53 yards and three touchdowns, including the game winner in double overtime, on 13 carries.
Ever since the days of Vince Young and Colt McCoy, the Longhorns have not been able to find another quality quarterback. Buechele appears to have the potential to change that. With his huge arm, he has what it takes to take Texas back to the top. Swoopes and his athleticism complement Buechele well.
