player. 124.
It’s a subject that many Chiefs fans don’t want brought up but there is no avoid it. Eric Berry was not able to sign a long-term contract with Kansas City this off-season. Given the salary cap squeeze the team will be in again come 2017, unless they’re able to clear a large amount of space there is a legitimate chance that this season might be his last with the team. Such is the price of being a talented team. At some point the hard decision to let a great player go will come up. Odds are the Chiefs may already be planning for it.

One guy they’re sure to be looking at is Michigan defender Jabrill Peppers. The hype on this young man has been building for months. A freak athlete who played a myriad of different positions in 2015 including safety and linebacker.

Given his range and body type, his best spot may be at safety. He’s big enough to play aggressive as a run defender in the box but has the speed of a tall cornerback, allowing him to break on balls in the air. He’s still learning but under the guidance of Jim Harbaugh he has a bright future.
. S. Michigan. Jabril Peppers . 27
