The iPhone 7 comes out today, but is there a way to get it discounted with a promo code or will you have to pay full price online no matter what?

After over a year of waiting, the next generation of iPhone is here. Apple will be unveiling the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7-Plus on Wednesday which means it’s time to try and find out where the best deal will be.

Everyone wants to have the latest Apple devices but next to no one is cool with paying retail price for it. We live in the age of online promo codes and membership discounts, and Apple products are hard to fit into this lifestyle.

Apple almost never offers up any sort of discounted price on any of their products, even old ones. Buying an old iPad will still run you well over $250, and that’s while it’s a buyers market. Just wait until hipsters start using those things ironically and then the price will double.

When it comes to the release of the iPhone 7, there’s no retail promo code from Apple that they are offering. Still, there are ways you can avoid paying full sticker price for the new iPhone should you choose to get it this week.

Here’s what we assume the pricing structure for the iPhone 7 will be:

Perhaps, the iPhone 7 cost may look something like this:

  • 32 or 64 GB – $699
  • 128 GB – $799
  • 256 GB – $899

Now, that’s if you’re buying it straight from Apple or if you’re not eligible for an upgrade with your service provider. Companies like Sprint and T-Mobile slash that price significantly if you’re eligible for a two-year upgrade.

Typically, this means that for the $699 model you’d end up paying somewhere around $1990-$299 plus tax.

That’s still a steep cost for a phone but it’s much better than shilling out close to $1k for your device. Everyone loves Apple, but no phone — short of it being solid gold — should be worthy of a price range that bleeds into the $700 range after factoring in tax.
