Raiders at Saints live stream: How to watch online
By John Buhler
The New Orleans Saints will host the Oakland Raiders for an important Week 1 matchup at Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The AFC West will play the NFC South in its entirety this fall. Barring a rare Super Bowl matchup, these eight teams haven’t played each other in four NFL seasons. One matchup to keep an eye on in Week 1 will be when the New Orleans Saints host the Oakland Raiders for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
New Orleans still has future Pro Football Hall of Famer Drew Brees at quarterback. Brees and head coach Sean Payton are more than capable of leading a high-octane Saints offense this fall. It will be the defense and depth as a football team that will decide this team’s 2016 fate.
Oakland is expected to take a huge leap forward in 2016 under second-year head coach Jack Del Rio. The Raiders have drafted marvelously the last four springs. Oakland might have the three best young players in the AFC West: quarterback Derek Carr, wide receiver Amari Cooper and outside linebacker Khalil Mack.
The Raiders feel like an AFC Playoff team entering the 2016 NFL season. However, the Raiders haven’t made the playoffs since 2002. New Orleans isn’t what it once was as an NFC power, but would love nothing more than to crash the NFC Playoffs this winter.
