Cam Newton injured against Broncos
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton would leave the field injured limping against the Denver Broncos.
After a strong first half against the Denver Broncos, Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers were rolling. In the second half, there was a scary scene involving Newton. As the Panthers tried to advance the ball on third down, Newton was sacked and taken down by DeMarcus Ware.
As Newton came off the field, he went to the ground and it was clear that he was hurt as trainers tended to them. He bent at an awkward ankle and he would limp off the field with a towel over his head. It’s not clear what exactly is wrong with him, whether it’s his ankle or lower leg, but it wasn’t a pretty sack at all.
In the NFL, Newton is a large target for defenders and that means he’s going to take a lot of punishment. That sack was a freak one that bent his body in a way that it probably shouldn’t bend. Hopefully for Newton and the Panthers it’s nothing serious, because he’s everything to them on offense.
He was able to return to the field, but it was clear that he was in pain. However, Newton’s a Warrior and he will do whatever he can to get on the field and help his team out.
