Alberto Del Rio will address his future status in WWE during a press conference to be held in Mexico on Friday

At the moment, WWE star Alberto Del Rio is serving a 30-day suspension for a Wellness Policy violation. Even before the suspension, it was speculated that Del Rio, with his contract coming to an end soon anyway, would be leaving the company. When he was shipped off for 30 days following the violation, the reports on that taking place became more and more prominent.

Well, we might be getting some answers soon, and we will be getting them from the man himself. According to a report from SuperLuchas.com, Del Rio will be holding a press conference in his home country of Mexico on Friday where he will address not only his suspension, but his future with the biggest wrestling company in the world as well.

Since his return to the company last year, things have not gone all that swimmingly for the WWE Champion. He’s been rumored to still have a lot of heat with Triple H, who we know carries a lot of clout within the company. Then, of course, he started dating fellow WWE superstar Paige and came under fire for that relationship. First off, people were irked by the enormous age difference, and then there were reports that many believed he was a bad influence on the former WWE Diva’s Champion because he partied too much. More than likely, though, he won’t be addressing any of the Paige rumors during this presser.

No, this presser will likely be all about his future, for the most part. And that future will probably include his return to wrestling in Mexico for the AAA promotion once that contract runs out, the place he left as champion to make his WWE return last year. Yes, lest we all forget, he left as the AAA title holder to rejoin WWE when they wanted him back.

Whatever the case ends up being, you’d have to imagine that Mexican wrestling fans may be quite pleased after this is all over, as they may be getting one of their biggest stars back.
