Here’s how you can watch Saturday’s Troy vs Clemson live stream online.
Clemson made it all the way to the national title game in 2015 thanks to the strong arm, and legs, of Deshaun Watson. The then-sophomore dual-threat was a monster in 2015 and made it known that he was going to be the top Heisman contender in 2016.
An opening game on the road at Auburn was one way to prove himself and the Tigers belonged in the conversation of college football’s elite for another season. He didn’t have eye-popping numbers, rather passed for 248 yards and a touchdown while rushing for another 21.
Mike Williams was phenomenal, though. The junior wide receiver burst back onto the scene after missing the entire 2015 season, basically, with an injury. He caught a bulk of the passes from Watson, finishing with nine receptions for 174 yards.
Wayne Gallman added 123 rushing yards and a touchdown on 30 carries.
Troy also opened the season with a win, taking down Peay, 57-17. The Trojans dominated against the FCS foe, allowing just over 250 total yards and finishing with over 700 of their own.
Brandon Silvers had 229 passing yards and two touchdowns and backup gunslinger Sawyer Smith was 7-of-7 for 86 yards and score. The ground attack finished with over 380 yards, led by junior running back Jordan Chunn who had 161 and a touchdown.
Don’t expect the Trojans to have the same success against No. 2 Clemson Saturday afternoon, though. This one might be over before it starts.
