Isaiah Thomas shot around with a kid who was alone
Sometimes it is easy to forget that not every NBA player was always a star. Isaiah Thomas was one of those players that wasn’t because of his height. That gave Thomas a unique view on his status as an NBA player and on Tuesday night, Thomas’ experiences helped him make a fans year per the Boston Globe.
"“He was the only kid there,” Thomas said. “So I’m like, ‘I’m just going to go get some shots up with him.’ When I walked over, he rebounded his own shot and turned around and I’m like, ‘Can I get a couple shots?’ And he stopped."
Yup, Isaiah Thomas shot around with a random 14-year-old because he was alone. As it turned out that fan was a Celtics fan whose favorite player was Thomas. Considering all of that, Thomas left a lasting impact on Robbie McNulty.

This is just a great story. Thomas has always been a player that gives back and it is part of why he is so lovable. This story will make McNulty so popular at school because he hung out with an NBA player.
At the very least McNulty probably won’t ever be as nervous as he was when Thomas first showed up. I have never experience shooting with an NBA player but I can’t imagine a high school gym gets more intimidating.

So good for Isaiah and congrats to McNulty. He now has a story he can tell forever.
