Live stream and how to watch Nevada (1-0) vs No. 18 Notre Dame (0-1) on television and online on Saturday, September 10.
Notre Dame looks to bounce back after that instant classic vs Texas in the season opener last week. The Fighting Irish lost 47-50 in double overtime to the Longhorns in a game where they were favored by four. That loss dropped them to #18 in the national polls. The Irish look to snap the losing streak in a home opener against Nevada on Saturday.
Nevada is coming off a 30-27 win vs Cal Poly last week. Despite the close decision, Nevada led 21-7 in the first quarter before Cal Poly staged a comeback, managing to keep pace with the Wolf Pack and tie it up in the fourth quarter. Nevada held on in overtime to win by three. Notre Dame looks to be the toughest game on their nonconference schedule this season, with games at Buffalo and Purdue in the next two weeks.
Notre Dame has a few things going for it this week, including home field advantage and a team that wants to win. Despite last week’s loss, quarterback DeShone Kizer had a stellar performance, throwing 215 and notching five touchdowns. This week, Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly needs to decide whether to continue with Kizer or take a chance with Malik Zaire; having two quarterbacks in the Texas game didn’t do any favors for the Irish and may have cost them the win in the end.
