Tempers were flaring early in the USC vs. Utah State game and an ejection was handed to USC left tackle Chuma Edoga.

With 13:30 remaining in the first quarter, USC left tackle Chuma Edoga got into a heated exchange with a Utah State Aggie player then decided to take his frustration out on an official.

After what Edoga thought was a late continuation, he took a quick swipe at an Aggie defender while he was still on the ground. Edoga quickly got up and started charging that same player while being contained by an official to prevent any more extracurricular activity.

That’s when things took a turn for the worse for the 6’4″, 290-pound sophomore lineman.

While trying to be contained by an official, Edoga threw a punch at an official drawing an immediate flag and ejection from the game. Whether he intended to land the punch or just get away from the official is unclear but either way, you have to keep your cool in a situation like that.

USC didn’t get off to an ideal start to the 2016 season after being run out of the stadium by No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide last week with a final score of 52-6. Frustrations are high for the Trojans and they definitely boiled over for Edoga today.

The Trojans were projected to come in second place, only behind UCLA, in the South Division and don’t have the easiest schedule ahead of them.

USC will need to gain some type of momentum heading into the latter part of their schedule as they visit UCLA and No. 8 along with hosting No. 24 Oregon and No. 18 Notre Dame.
