Andy Dalton connects with his favorite Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green for a 54-yard touchdown pass on the New York Jets’ Darrelle Revis.

It’s no secret that the Cincinnati Bengals have themselves a great quarterback-wide receiver tandem in Andy Dalton and A.J. Green. The New York Jets, meanwhile, boast an elite shutdown cornerback in Darrelle Revis. Who wins on this deep ball from Dalton? That would be Green, on this very, very pretty 54-yard touchdown catch.

Down 7-3 at the 11:33 mark in the second quarter, Dalton delivers a fantastic strike to Green on a play-action pass on first and 10 from the Bengals’ 46-yard line. Dalton had all the time in the world to connect with his favorite wideout on this play.

The ultra-physical Green manages to outwork Revis in deep-man coverage to come down with the football at the Jets’ five-yard line for an easy score. The Bengals absolutely need Dalton and Green to carry this depleted offense in 2016, why with Cincinnati losing No. 2 wideout Mohamed Sanu to the Atlanta Falcons in free agency and top-tier tight end Tyler Eifert for much of the first half of the 2016 NFL season due to injury.

New York has a brutal first six games of the 2016 NFL season. The Jets have the opportunity to pick up ground on their arch rival New England Patriots who will be without star quarterback Tom Brady until October because of his four-game Deflategate suspension.

This is a must-win game for the Jets in Week 1. Unfortunately, it comes against one of the top-10 rosters in all of football. This could be a potential AFC Wild Card game late on in January, so keep an eye on both of these teams going forward.
