Here is a list of all the players that will be inactive in the Week 1 game between the Oakland Raiders and the New Orleans Saints.

The New Orleans Saints host the Oakland Raiders for an exciting Week 1 showdown in the Crescent City on Sunday, September 11th. While Oakland has the eye of many in the AFC as a legitimate playoff contender, the Saints still have Drew Brees at quarterback and can point up points with the best teams in the NFL.

For that reason, the Saints are a slight home favorite in this rare meeting with the Raiders. Should this game go to a shootout, it’ll be hard for the Raiders defense to slow down one of the best passers in NFL history in Brees.

Oakland isn’t without its own star players. The Raiders might have the three best young talents in the AFC West: quarterback Derek Carr, wide receiver Amari Cooper, and outside linebacker Khalil Mack. Carr is a franchise quarterback, Cooper might be a top-10 wide receiver, and Mack could be the best defensive player in football in 2016.

The Saints defense will absolutely have to improve over a historically bad 2015 campaign. Brees can carry the offense, but he’s not going to win every shootout the Saints find themselves in 2016.

Here are the inactive players in this Week 1 game:

New Orleans Saints

LB Dannell Ellerbe

RB C.J. Spiller

CB Sterling Moore

LB-DE Obum Gwacham

OL Landon Turner

TE Chris Manhertz

WR Tommylee Lewis

Oakland Raiders

A shootout in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome favors the home team Saints. However should Greg Norton, Jr.’s Raiders defense befuddle Brees, Oakland can get a rare road victory against a strong offensive-minded team in the Saints.
