Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper shows off his freakish athleticism and great hands with a big Week 1 catch against the New Orleans Saints.

The Oakland Raiders’ future looks bright heading into the 2016 season. If their offense can click and the defense can keep opposing attacks honest, this is a team that has achance to win the AFC West. One of team’s most exciting weapons, Amari Cooper, tore it up during his rookie season, and is showing no signs of a sophomore slump against the New Orleans Saints.

Cooper found space deep in the red zone as he leaped and held on for the impressive catch, showing off the impressive combination of hands and speedy athleticism that made him such a tantalizing prospect heading into the 2015 NFL Draft.

Cooper tallied over 1,700 receiving yards during his rookie season, and appears poised to join the ranks of the league’s wide-receiver elite. It certainly won’t be shocking if the sophomore wideout pulls in over 100 yards against the Saints.

If the Raiders are to continue to score in New Orleans, Cooper will need to keep finding space. The Saints will be kept busy keeping him guarded, as Cooper has both the speed and agility to get past an opponent at a moment’s notice.

Many players disappoint in their second year after a big first season. Needless to say, Cooper doesn’t look like the caliber of player destined for a year-two slump. If anything, this catch is one of many from Cooper NFL fans can look forward to seeing this season.
