A look at what happened during the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship match at WWE Backlash.

One of the two new titles being handed out at WWE Backlash had been the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, Natalya, and Nikki Bella were featured in this match, which was a Six-Pack Challenge Elimination bout.

This match may determine who is the top female competitor on SmackDown. All six women are talented, but which one will stand out when Backlash concludes?

Here’s a look at what happened in this match at Backlash.

The match started off with everyone brawling in the ring, and left Naomi and Becky Lynch to battle in the ring. Nikki Bella and Alexa Bliss would then go head to head in the ring, with Nikki nearly getting a victory on multiple occasions.

Nikki and Carmella, who have feuded for a few weeks, went back and forth. Carmella even went for the Code of Silence on Nikki’s injured neck. However, Bella hit an Alabama Slam to get a near-fall.

Naomi would hit a springboard move from the top rope onto everyone at ringside, and was an incredible move. She would eliminate Bliss after a teamwork powerbomb-neckbreaker move. Natalya then eliminated Naomi with a Sharpshooter. Nikki then eliminated Natalya. However, Carmella quickly came in and grabbed Nikki by the tights to roll her up for the pin.

Becky would hit multiple suplexes on Carmella. Becky then got Carmella in the DisArmHer for the win.

This is Becky Lynch’s first title win in WWE. From NXT, to her year on the main roster, she had been in the shadows with Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Bayley all holding titles at some point. However, The Irish Lass Kicker would get her moment at Backlash.
