ACC Power Rankings, Week 2: Clemson sloppy as FSU, Louisville roll
By Jason Parker
When you win by just six points over a team you should easily handle, you aren’t going to get much love. It’s one thing when it comes on the road against a SEC team who isn’t all that bad. It’s another thing when it is at home against a middle of the road team from the Sun Belt Conference. If Clemson wants back in the CFB Playoff, it needs to wake up quickly.
Now, I know I am going to catch some flack for this one, but hear me out. The Hurricanes, in their first two games, have allowed just 13 points combined. True, those games have been against Florida Atlantic and FCS foe Florida A&M, but after the embarrassment that unit has been over the past few years, small victories matter.
For all the talk about Florida State and Clemson in the ACC’s Atlantic Division, the Cardinals are playing the best statistical football of any team in the whole conference. Lamar Jackson and friends can make a huge statement next weekend when they host the Seminoles.
